Augusta Béduer is a free standing stone built “Quercy” style cottage for a maximum of 6 people and their pet (after arrangement in advance). The cottage is thought to originate from the 16th century. It is situated on the edge of the village Béduer, and as such quiet and peacefully, but certainly not isolated. At a minutes’ walk you can buy a fresh “croissant” at morning time, or visit the local bar and restaurants during daytime. The spacious and private garden of more than 4000 m2 in size, offers a garden terrace on a level with the house, a second terrace at a level lower, and a third terrace where you’ll find a private swimming pool (11m x 5m) and a lawn. From here you have a stunning panoramic view across the valley. All terraces can be closed independently, and are fully fenced, so that parents and children can safely enjoy the garden.
Augusta Béduer offers a sizable living room with a fireplace, three bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with a shower, the other with bath and overhead shower). The large kitchen/diner is fully equipped with electric stove and oven, fridge and dishwasher. There is a cellar, which houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. Augusta Béduer has gas central heating. Augusta Béduer offers also a WIFI connection.
The historic town of Figeac (8km) with its many shops, patios, sights, lies midway between the cities of Cahors in the Lot and Rodez in the Aveyron. It lies on the pilgrim route across France to Santiago de Compostella, popular with thousands of walkers and cyclists. The rivers Lot and Célé offer possibilities for an active day: swimming, fishing, canoeing, rock climbing and spelunking. Sights including Pech Merle (caves with world famous murals). Gouffre de Padirac (impressive cave featuring stalactites) and Rocamadour (medieval pilgrim’s town) are excellently suited to a day out.
Béduer can be easily reached, a mere 40 kilometers from the A20 highway, 9 kilometers from Figeac train station. The region is approached from the airports at Rodez (Ryanair and Air France); about 45 minutes away by car and Toulouse (British Airways, Air France and Easy Jet): about one and three quarters of an a hour away by car.
